Thanks for the in-depth analysis! Personally I won’t watch it because I’m not a “fan” of adding fictional elements to the Bible (Fan Fiction is a great term). I prefer the straight stuff. I loved the productions of Matthew and Acts that were straight scripture with a narrator and actors simply saying what’s in the Bible. Yes, it was NIV, but still better than any fictionalized product.

My question that I would ask someone who is considering watching The Chosen is, how many times have you read through the Bible? If the answer is none, go do that first.

Thanks, ladies, for all you do.

It should also be noted that in the trailer and in the first episode of season two Jesus says that he is there to “create A way to the kingdom of heaven”. Scripture is clear that He is THE way, not A way. Not only are they supporting and teaching universalism, the writers intentionally changed scripture.

I must have missed that part. Thanks for commenting, Mel.
