Sometimes when we say the Bible is sufficient to guide our lives, the question arises, “What about the leading and guiding of the Holy Spirit? How does that fit in with the doctrine of the sufficiency of Scripture?” There are so many theories and teachings about this third person of the Trinity that it’s no wonder so many people are confused about who the Spirit is, and what He actually does, and does not do.
If you’re not quite sure what it means to be lead by the Spirit, this podcast episode will clear things up – thanks to what the Scripture teaches about the Holy Spirit.

i agree with most of what you said and the advice is very sound but what about people in dire situations without a bible?
Like Muslims who have dreams about Jesus and find salvation, like Corrie ten Boom in Nazi prison for hiding Jews, relying on the HS every moment to direct her
or situations where a Christian not actually reading a bible, “hears” from God about certain things, like do not turn here or go there and avoids a serious accident?
How many Christians today in communist countries have no bible and have to rely on the HS guiding them in impossible situations? They do not have the luxury of asking sunday school teacchers or other christians who have wisdom for godly counsel. They have only prayer, their relationship with God through Jesus and relying on hearing from the HS.
