What is a so-called “secondary issue in doctrine?” And does women preaching and having authority over men in the congregation fall in that category?
Hang onto your hats — in this episode, Michelle and Amy explain why Scripturally, a female “pastorix” falls into a level of apostasy in the visible Church, and not an issue Christians can simply agree to disagree on.

Think this may be one of the better brief reviews on this matter. I think they nailed it.
Very well done and presented.
Thank you so much, Donald!
Hi Michelle and Amy,
I just heard this podcast and am very interested. I currently lead and host community group for our church. My husband leads when he is able to be there but due to his work schedule it’s not every week. I usually pick up the slack. We follow a discussion guide given to us by church leadership. Is this considering sin?
Hi Olga- I answered almost this exact same question from another lady in this article (3rd question). I hope it will be helpful to you. :0)
Our church has a wonderful lady with a great depth of knowledge and ability to teach, but has been allowed to speak at Sunday morning services. My husband doesn’t stay or go to church when it’s her turn. I just don’t know if it’s wrong for me and my kids to go and attend as she can teach us but then is it not that I am endorsing incorrect sinful behavior? Is it OK then for us to watch the live stream?
Hi there! I know this is a difficult issue, and I’m sorry you’re having to face it in your church. Your pastor is in sin for allowing this woman to preach, and the woman herself is in sin for preaching. Your husband is off to a great start by not attending when she preaches. No one – man, woman, or child – should attend a church where women are allowed to preach. I would encourage you to follow your husband’s lead, and I urge the two of you to find a new, doctrinally sound church immediately. Click here, and start by studying the resources under “What to look for in a church.” Then, start carefully going through the church search engines (I would recommend starting with Founders, then G3, then the Master’s Seminary, then the rest). Praying you find a fantastic new church family soon!
