Christmas Dinner with the Sexual Sinner

With the holiday season now upon us, we thought we’d share one of our most downloaded episodes. How should a Christian relate to someone in their lives who is obviously living in sexual sin, without appearing to condone this marriage? Thankfully, God does not leave us without answers. As with every other issue in life, our thinking, our words, and our actions must be shaped by and in submission to the authority of Scripture. Not public opinion. Not political agendas. Not our own personal feelings, opinions, and experiences. Scripture.

Michelle stated the most repulsive sins in Romans 6. Isn’t all sin repulsive. I totally think everything about the LGBTQ…etc is a sin and agree. I also feel there is a lot of sin in the church that is just as repulsive. Yes as a Christian we all struggle with sin and it should be repulsive to us, No matter what the sin is. I think as Christians we often measure sin or give levels of for sin individually. This is repulsive in it self. It’s like the man at the wall praying, thank you God that I’m not like that man who was actually grieved uncontrollably about his sin. All sin is hindering us from the presence of God.

Hi Lori- Yes, all sin is repulsive in that it is rebellion against God and separates man from God. I agree that there are many sins out there that are repulsive, but this particular episode was about sexual sin. That’s why our remarks were focused on sexual sin. We have dealt with sin in the church (and other sins) in many other episodes.
