Twisted Complementarianism

If you aren’t familiar with the term “complementarianism,” it simply means “the biblical roles of men and women in the home and in the church.” It’s also a term that has been twisted into something else. Complementarians like Michelle and Amy believe men and women are both made in the image of God, and equal in value to Him. However, we have some wonderful, ingenious differences in the way God wired and equipped us. We also have different roles in the home – the husband is responsible for leading, and the wife is responsible for being his helper and submitting to his leadership. In the church, it is the responsibility of biblically qualified men to serve as pastors, elders, and deacons, to preach and teach the Scriptures to men and any co-ed adult groups, and to fulfill positions of authority over men and co-ed adult groups.
