On Essential Oils: I’ve been attending my church for over six years now. I’ve seen the ripples of multi-level marketing rear their ugly heads almost every year. When three or more women in a small congregation of about 100 are selling stuff, it’s unpleasantly distracting. I left Bible study early once because a woman actually put her catalog on each desk. That woman hounded me on social media, saying “Everyone got to place an order except for you! What can I bring you?” Sadly, the real deal here is a lack of church discipline.
That is so sad to hear, Brenda. These “stay-at-home-businesses” based on MLM models encourage that kind of aggressiveness. This goes against what Scripture teaches about how women are to glorify God with their behavior.
